Residential renovation

Project Summary
This residential renovation involved a complete reconfiguration of the main and second floor to better suit the needs of a young family of four. Multiple space plan options were developed and reviewed with the clients before finalizing the layout.

Once the plan was approved, all new interior finishes were selected for the home. Detailed construction drawings were prepared for both the main and upper levels, including:

• Demolition plans identifying all walls, finishes, and fixtures to be removed

• Construction plans for the new layout, detailing new wall and cabinet locations

• Lighting layouts and fixture selections

• Space plans indicating furniture placement

• Finish plans outlining all new material selections

Custom millwork details were also developed for key areas of the home, including the mudroom, pantry, and bathrooms, with precise tile and cabinetry specifications.
 

The project was then issued for tender, and a contractor was selected. Full project management services were provided, including on-site electrical walk-throughs to finalize fixture and switch locations. Weekly contractor meetings were held throughout construction to review progress, resolve site issues, and ensure design intent was maintained.
