HS Studio and Spa
This client wanted a completely new look for the salon and spa, very different from the look that had been their brand. They wanted an urban, funky, very contemporary look with a lot of light and visuals.
The first step was to gather the information of what the client required for the space and design the floor plan. Working with the footprint established by the landlord, the plan was designed to include the client's requirements - a retail and reception area, 12 hairstyling stations, 4 shampoo sinks, a color bar, 3 aesthetics rooms, manicure and pedicure areas, change room, as well as the staff room, washrooms, lunchroom/staff locker room and utility spaces. We worked closely with Redken specialists who had input on the design of the color bar, retail shelving and the reception concept of the "black cube".

We designed the very sleek stylist stations, pre-booking station, built-in seating spaces, coffee station, washroom cabinetry and millwork throughout. We created the concept for the three aesthetics rooms referred to as "Sola, "Terra" and "Aqua". You will understand their names once you experience the décor. Then we carefully coordinated all the interior finishes appropriate for the specific requirements of a hair salon and spa.
This was an extremely interesting project to design and has to be seen to be appreciated. The HS Studio Salon and Spa is an entirely new salon/spa experience. You can see for yourself at Halifax Shopping Center Annex, Mumford Road in Halifax.
