Home Addition
This renovation and addition was designed and implemented to a client's home in a ten year old subdivision.  At that time it was common for the ensuite bath to have a 3-foot corner shower, sink and toilet.  The client wanted a much more luxurious bathroom that would be more in demand by today's buyers.  The space was gained by an addition over the garage.  This became a new master bedroom, while the pre-existing smaller bedroom became an ensuite bathroom and a walk in closet.  Many would think that in order to get a project like this underway one would need an architect to design the drawings.  In fact, an Interior Designer will guide you through the entire project, from drafting, planning and drawing, to incorporating all details of the built-ins such as cabinetry, bathroom fixtures, finishes, fireplace, lighting, window treatments and decorative touches.

The renovation was planned so the client would be able to view the fireplace from both the bed and the jetted tub.  This was achieved using a beautiful double-sided fireplace, designed into built-in entertainment cabinetry on the bedroom side. A beautiful window seat was created in the alcove of an arched window added to the front of the house.

The ensuite consists of a five-ft. long shower, large corner jet air tub, two sinks, linen storage and access to the 7ft x 9ft. closet, also accessible from the bedroom.  On the main level, the addition housed a mudroom, closet, powder room and laundry room with an exterior door to the back yard.  This renovation added significantly to the resale value of the home and the homeowners were able to have the luxurious spa bathroom that is so important to people today.
