Halifax Veterinary Hospital
The initial stage of every project is to gather the information from the Client regarding their needs for the new space.

The needs for the Veterinary Hospital included a reception desk and file storage room, separate waiting areas for dogs and cats with retail shelving, 4 exam rooms, a pharmacy, lab, operating rooms, x-ray room, dental area, recovery cages, kennel run, adoption center, food storage, grooming area, laundry room, washrooms, doctor’s office and staff lunchroom.

In working closely with the Client to fully understand their work flow, functions of spaces and adjacencies, we were able to adjust the floor plan to accommodate all requirements.

Much consideration has to be given to the people who bring their animals to the hospital and their comfort level in their experiences at the hospital.

The final design layout is a result of many preliminary plans and interactions with the Client. It is the fine details of the end-users of the space and how they work, that contribute to the success of the plan. Drawings were completed for the plan layout, reflected ceiling plan showing all the special lighting requirements and all of the drawings for custom millwork.
